Biological Treatment Systems may be needed in conjunction with a Sewage Disposal System in some instances. Nitrogen Loading Limitations are applied to some properties, which limit the allowable sewage loading rate to 440 gallons per day (GPD) per 40,000 square feet of land area. Some Biological Treatment Systems can increase the allowable loading rate to as much as 660 GPD. In some repairs of systems, it may be desirable to reduce the size of Soil Absorption Systems and some Biological Treatment Systems can provide for reductions. In other cases, local regulations set limits on certain effluent parameters, such as Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Total Suspended Solids (TSS), and Nitrogen. Depending on the limitations, there are some Biological Treatment Systems that can achieve the requisite treatment.
These are some of the Systems that we have proposed:
-FAST (Fixed Activated Sludge Treatment)
-Recirculating Sand Filter
